Acclaim’s WCB Specialists can assist your team to reduce your occupational injury-related costs. We accomplish this through: the active management of workers’ compensation claims; providing appeals and tribunals support; offering cost-relief and classification reviews and developing prevention programs with onsite visits and training for your team. The goal is to both provide support for your employees to facilitate a healthy and timely return to work while at the same time minimize overall disability claims and costs to the employer.
From industrial noise testing to air sampling coordination, Acclaim has recommendations for exposure protection to help ensure the safety of your workforce. We also assist employers in the assessment and implementation of ergonomic practices to help reduce workplace injuries and inefficiencies.
Acclaim assists employers in developing Occupational Health & Safety Training programs, as well providing specific training to the workforce. From safety awareness to certification training, we can develop, coordinate and deliver a training program specific to your organization’s needs.
Working independently or with an employer’s Occupational Health and Safety team, Acclaim reviews existing health and safety policies and procedures. Acclaim can then develop new policies and procedures, amend existing ones and/or assist with the implementation of any changes.
We work diligently with clients to recognize, assess, control and evaluate risk in the workplace. From analysing “what if” scenarios to job, task and project risk assessment for both routine and non-routine work, Acclaim is able to provide in-depth hazard analysis to ensure that hazards are correctly identified and control methods are implemented to better protect your workforce.
Acclaim’s comprehensive compliance audit provides a thorough analysis of a client’s operations and compares them against legislative requirements. Our audit identifies possible system gaps so that employers can be proactive with their health and safety program, as well as ensure due diligence.
Acclaim conducts these assessments to determine a candidate’s ability to perform the essential duties of the job. The assessment is performed by an Occupational Therapist, Kinesiologist or other designated health care professional. There are three components: Basic Medical History, Objective Functional Abilities Evaluation, and Education. Additional testing may be required based on the findings within these components.
Acclaim’s certified team provides expertise to clients in their efforts to become COR certified. From internal audits and building COR certified program elements to COR worksite inspections, our team works tirelessly to help clients achieve COR certification.
Acclaim assists with the development of a JHSC, providing assistance and guidance on how to appoint, elect and train members of the JHSC in their duties and diligence. We also act as a resource for the meetings to assist the committee in their assessments and recommendations to the employer.
